About Me
Mark Denson MBACP
I am a fully qualified Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. I trained at Re-vision, a Psychotherapy training centre based in London that works with a Soulful perspective.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BAPC). I attend regular supervision to ensure my practice retains it's integrity and continues to grow.
I have a practice in both Brighton and Hove, working with a range of people from a variety of different backgrounds.
My Story
In a previous life chapter, I worked for 20 years as a horticultural gardener before my own soul journey in therapy led me to retrain as a Transpersonal therapist. I have swapped tending to the green spaces of nature to tend to heart spaces through the soulful practice of psychotherapeutic counselling. I am still passionate about nature and feel the need to regularly spend time at my allotment and walking in countryside to get my own healing dose of being outside and within natural environments.
My journey in therapy training began in 2018 when I enrolled on the River of Soul course. This course explores how to connect and attend to personal wounding through the use of myth and fairytale.
My extensive training at Re-vision used a soulful approach through which to integrate concepts from Jungian, Gestalt, relational, psychodynamic, neuroscience, body psychotherapy and family systems theory as well as developmental and archetypal psychology.
Before setting up my own private practice, I worked as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor for the New Road Psychotherapy Centre (NRPC) in both Brighton and Hove.
Since 2015, I have been working as a guest lecturer at the East 15 Acting university in London on their non-performance improvisation MA module.
